The management of our boiler controls and their impact on our school's energy consumption has always been of utmost importance to us. Aware of the potential benefits, we recognised that correctly configuring the boiler controls could be one of the most cost-effective ways to reduce our gas consumption.

With a keen interest to understand our boiler system better and to ensure the settings were reasonable, we decided to complete the Boiler Configuration Review Sheet. As we wanted the most accurate information, we opted to send it to our boiler engineer for completion. Timed strategically, we arranged for this to coincide with our boiler's annual service to make efficient use of the engineer's visit.

As the date of the service approached, a reminder in my diary prompted me to send the review sheet to the boiler engineer. During the service, the engineer filled out the sheet meticulously, providing a detailed insight into our boiler's configuration.

Upon review, our already efficient boiler setup, was praised which was heartening to hear. They suggested only minor tweaks to the current settings to optimise our energy consumption even further. 

Looking back, this experience reaffirmed our commitment to energy efficiency and showed us the importance of regular audits and expert input. We learned that even the most efficient systems can benefit from a professional review, and that minor adjustments can make a notable difference. It was a valuable lesson in the power of continuous improvement, and a testament to the great strides we had already made in our pursuit of energy efficiency.
