This year we have held two sustainable travel days. One was the Big Wheel (Sustrans) program and one was a Walk to School Week in May.
On 13 May 2024 we did a staff travel survey. Results are as follows:
45 staff travelled by car
1 staff carshared with someone who works elsewhere
3 staff travelled by bus
11 staff walked
1 staff cycled
Today Eco Committee went round all classes to ask how children travelled to school today. The Eco Committee used a "hands up" count and tally chart for the following methods of travelling:
🛴 scooting - 11
🚶♀️ walking - 194
🚲 cycling - 18
🚌 bus - 3
🚗 car - 102
🚐 carpool - 42
Other - taxi - 1
We have several Year 6 children out on transition day today, but still managed to collect 371 responses. This will be a great baseline to work from when we start our travel surveys next year.
I can't seem to add a photo here so I will try again later.
