What you did
The school's Green Team joined forces with the PTA to organise and run a 'Pre-loved and Best Quality Nearly New' children's clothes and toys sale in the lead up to Christmas to raise valuable funds for the school but also to try and encourage members of the school community to consider shopping there for Christmas presents rather than buying new.
The response to asking for donations was FANTASTIC! Despite the afternoon of the sale being a little wet, and therefore the sale having to finish more abruptly than hoped, the event was very popular and was not only did it raise some valuable funds for the PTA, but it also encouraged our school community to rehome some pre-loved treasures and ensure they were loved for a little longer rather than ending up in landfill.
Better still, any items left over were taken to charity shops so that they could benefit from the funds raised from them.
