As a school we used money raised by the PTA last year to help upgrade out IT systems in the school. This included buying some new iPods for the Early Years department, upgrading the iPads and purchasing a docking station which only charges the iPads when needed, and upgrading the computers in the Computer suite.  The teacher laptops in each classroom were replaced last year to be more energy efficient. All computers in the school are set to go onto standby mode to help save electricity and are switched off and unplugged at the end of the school day. 3 new printers were purchased so that older, more energy sapping ones could be replaced.
The children are loving their new and improved equipment and loved participating in all the events which supported the PTA. These included a Christmas market, Auction of Promises, home clothes days, pyjama days, nearly new uniform and toy sales etc!
