%Classes nominated two children to be our 'Bright Spark' science ambassadors. These individuals will meet every week to discuss science work in their classes and also energy sparks energy usage. Today, we met to discuss what energy sparks is and how electricity is created from non-renewable sources such as oil and coal. We briefly discussed how renewable energy is a cleaner alternative to creating electricity.
We looked at the graphs showing our electricity usage and how much money we spent last year. We have set a target to reduce our electricity usage by 5
Next week, we will look at adding a 5%.
This week we will be focusing on switching lights off at lunch times to ensure classes are not wasting electricity.
