Energy use within the school was high on the agenda following our COP (Conference of Pennar Climate Conference)
We have since updated our eco code to ensure that staff check devices are off  when they are not in use. Each class has elected energy monitors who's responsibility it is to check that devices are not left on unnecessarily and the Green Team perform spot checks 2/3 times a week to make sure that devices are off. Teachers are encouraged not to turn on all of the lights in the classrooms and to maximise the use if daylight by opening the blinds. 
Energy monitors turn off lights when the class leaves the room for assembly/PE etc.
