Two children in Year 2 represent our school at Our Trust's Pupil Parliament. The theme for the meeting this term was ways in which we make our school greener and save energy. The children led the school in an assembly to explore ways in which we save energy and then fed back ideas on behalf of the school at the meeting.
Some of the Ideas discussed were:
Monitors to ensure lights and computers are switched off if they are not needed to be on.
Making sure all switches are off at the end of the school day (apart from fridge and freezer!)
Recycling
Encouraging use of the walking bus / riding and scooting to school.
Use of electric bikes rather than cars.
